Cyanide Stitches

Picture
Growing up, there were five of us kids, and one single, way overworked mom. My mom was always creating something. I can't even name all the different mediums she used. My favorite thing about school was the hands-on art and craft activities. Making things and creating took me to a world where everything was exciting and dreamlike. I knew early on that I wanted to be a creator. I wanted to be an artist. I wanted an old, worn out, lime green and orange flowered suitcase of my own packed to the brim with artwork, that my kids would marvel at. I saw my mom as this pool of creativity, and I wanted to absorb that talent for myself.  It took me years of trying everything I could to figure out what was best for me. I still dabble in everything. I think I always will. There is just something about the creative process that is like a drug to me. And I'm addicted.  My Etsy shop is a way for me to show my creative side to others.  It's my very own suitcase.  I still have a long ways to go, but I'm finally living out my childhood dream.

Stoff Stuff

Picture
Stoff Stuff is a Colorado home based company. The word Stoff is German for material, so the name Stoff Stuff is quite fitting for these handmade treasures. Every item is hand crafted with love. I work with anything that speaks to me, ranging from upcycled/reclaimed fabric to new materials.
